Care

Leather is a natural material that develops character and individuality over time. A few simple habits will help preserve its beauty and quality.

Natural changes
With use and time, the texture, shape and colour of your bag will change. Subtle variations in tone, flexibility and appearance are part of this process and depend on the materials, how you use the bag and the weight it carries. To help it keep its shape, avoid overloading it, and let it rest between uses.

Suede

  • Colour transfer: Suede is dyed, so it can stain other fabrics, especially when new or damp. We recommend a waterproofing spray made for suede, tested first on a hidden spot, as it can slightly change the colour. Reapply from time to time.
  • Brushing: Use a soft suede brush or suede eraser to lift the nap and remove dust or light marks, always brushing gently in one direction.
  • If it gets wet: Don’t rub or use heat. Blot gently with a soft cloth and let it dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators and hairdryers. Brush the nap lightly once dry.
  • Friction: Areas that rub often, such as the strap or the part that touches your body, may darken or look polished. This is normal.

Leather

  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Fine marks can sometimes be softened by rubbing gently with your fingertips.
  • Use a leather conditioner only if recommended for the finish, since it can darken some leathers. Keep it away from the suede parts.

Protection

  • Keep the bag away from water, moisture, prolonged direct sunlight and heat.
  • Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, oils and other products that may stain or alter the materials.

Storage
When not in use, store the bag in its dust bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Stuff it lightly with tissue paper or a soft cloth to keep its shape. Avoid plastic.

We don’t recommend cleaning products or leather treatments without professional guidance, as different leathers need specific care. For deep stains, please see a specialist leather or suede cleaner.
